Situation               
New compliance procedures required by its overseas parent company meant that the European headquarters operation was given a 6-week deadline to create a formalized method for the issuance, charging for and tracking of software licences.

Solution                
An administrative system to allow the distribution of software utilities across Europe with 100% traceability and full statistical analysis capabilities.

Application
A Microsoft® SQL database was developed to manage licence information. Data entry and update screens were created to allow headquarters staff to enter new requests as licences were issued. An automatically-generated unique reference code was produced to ensure traceability.

Timescale
Concept to completion, the solution was developed in 2 days and completed in 2 weeks (including training and documentation).
