Global professional services company

Situation
A professional services organization, actively working on many thousands of projects around the globe, wanted to have a means of identifying which people, with appropriate skills, were available to resource current and future projects.

Solution
A geo-spatial portal able to extract skills and capabilities information from human resource planning and project management systems and bring together a holistic view of people skills and competencies presented on a geo-spatial map of the world. The system needed to show - at local, country and regional levels - aggregated totals of people with the appropriate skills (determined by using filtered selections) and present skilled people that matched project requirements such as knowledge of client from past projects, experience on similar projects or having fulfilled similar roles.

Timescale
From concept to completion in 2 weeks.
